Emmy's Journey of Courage and Hope
Discover the story behind Bowl 4 Emmy, from a life-altering Type 1 diabetes diagnosis to an inspiring community movement rallying around a resilient six-year-old girl in Saint Charles, Missouri.

The day everything changed
Nick and Melissa have shared their story with us:
Last September, our daughter Emelia’s life changed drastically when she was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. In the months leading up to her diagnosis, we noticed subtle shifts—drinking more water, mood changes, and frequent nighttime bathroom trips. It wasn’t until she developed Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA) that we knew something was terribly wrong. We thank God every single day that we rushed her to the emergency room when we did, knowing how close we came to losing our little girl.

Resilience in every step
Going from being a carefree kid to managing relentless blood sugar checks, carb counting, insulin pump changes, and CGM sensors overnight is a heavy mental burden for anyone—especially a six-year-old. Yet Emmy has shown us what true bravery looks like. When she is not managing her diabetes with incredible strength, Emmy loves spending time outside, playing Roblox, and just enjoying being a joyful, energetic child.

Bowling for hope and a cure
Between ongoing medical equipment, supplies, and high insurance costs, managing juvenile diabetes is an everyday battle. Our friends have created this bowling tournament to unite our community, support Emmy’s journey and contribute essential funds to diabetes research. We believe every single dollar brings us one step closer to finding a permanent cure for kids just like Emmy.
Thank you for your love and support!

"With time, she has taken this disease and showed us what true resilience is. We are hoping that every little bit can go towards finding a cure."
